Cal-OSHA Pocket Book
This guide is not meant to be either a substitute for or a legal interpretation of the occupational safety and health regulations. Readers are cautioned to refer directly to Title 8 of the Califonia Code of Regulations and the Labor Code for detailed information regarding the regulation’s scope, specifications, and exceptions and for other requirements that may be applicable to their operations.
Cal-OSHA User Guide
This publication explains the requirements of California law for workplace safety and health, and the functions of the California Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) Program. It is not intended to provide interpretation of law. Anyone who has questions about laws relating to Cal/OSHA should refer directly to the pertinent regulation or sections of the law.
